Missing HUD Labels Information

Whether you are selling, buying, insuring or transporting a home that was issued a Hud Construction Code Label since 06-15-1976 you will find it necessary to obtain Label Verification for the home, if the HUD Label is missing.

Unfortunately the majority of the labels have been removed by home owners because the red tag was never an attractive addition on the rear of the home. (See example below) Technically the home cannot be offered for sale or occupied if the HUD Label is missing.

HUD assist homeowners, financing, insurance, real estate and transport companies in replacement of the HUD Construction Code Label.

Information you will need to apply for replacement

* Name and Address of Manufacturer * Date home was manufactured         * Serial Numbers on home                 * Label Numbers on home

If you are lucky you can find the Data Plate, on it will be listed the majority of identification needed for this process. Previous Financing Documents will be very helpful in the verification process.
