If you live in counties on the eastern seaboard or the Gulf of Mexico, the wind zone changes to wind zone II and also wind zone III.
Wind Zone II counties can only have homes set up that are built to withstand 100 mph winds.
Wind Zone III counties can only have homes set up that are built to withstand 110 mph winds.

Wind Zone II homes may be set up in zone I counties.
Wind Zone III homes may be set up in zone II counties.
The cost of Wind Zone II homes from Wind Zone I homes increase by any where from $1500 to $2500 depending on the size of the home.
If financially possible and your dealer can obtain higher level wind zone construction, you may want to consider the added expense. Ask your dealer for more details!
